My Background

When I purchased my first watercolor set, I remember staring at the paint, not sure how to activate it or what to do next. Then as I began to paint, I quickly fell in love with the medium and watercolor painting became my passion.

With God's guidance, my artistic style has developed to what it is today. I feel his joy and peace as I paint, and learn something new with every project.

My pallet and brushes are waiting for me to continue painting.

My Background

I love how watercolor has a life of its own as the paint moves and blends together. The whole painting process is an exciting journey.

I begin with a sketch and carefully lay down my chosen colors, stopping often to allow the paint to dry before moving on to the next step. But occasionally, as the paint dries, I see a beautiful surprise that will take my painting to an even better place than what I had originally planned. The mutual journey is the beauty of this medium.

My Inspiration

Nature is my inspiration for almost every painting. As I admire a scene in front of me, I often find myself lost in the view, mentally selecting the paint and technique needed to create on paper what I see before me.

Watercolor painting has given me a new appreciation of God, the original artist, who creates such diverse beauty everywhere we go.
